Okay, so it's been a while.......

........a very long while. I've done a couple of things over the last year or so and I thought i'd share some of them.

Natalie's Kitchen Tea: This was made for my friends niece for her kitchen tea.  I downloaded the template from someones website.  Sorry it was a long time ago so I cannot credit whoever it was that created it originally.  Paper is Tea Party with Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink ribbon.

Moshi Monsters:  For a 10 year old with a serious Moshi Monster addiction.
Happy Birthday Owl

Eastern Blooms Thank You.  Cased from a card I loved on the splitcoast website.  Once again it was so long ago I cannot remember who to credit.

The best is yet to be: This was made for a favourite teacher who turned the big 50.

A friend is getting married soon, so I was playing around with wedding card ideas.  I find wedding cards really tricky, but quite like the way this one turned out.
So, that's just a few of the little things I have been doing.  I will try not to leave it two years before I post again!

Gift Card Hand Bag

I made this a while ago for a friend who was having a birthday.  It holds a gift card and there is space to write in it like a card.  I got the idea from Amanda when we made the mens gift card wallet in technique class.  She's full of brilliant ideas!

The stamped images are heat embossed in black and I made the rose on the front.  I cannot figure out how to rotate this picture though.

What I've used:

Card : Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White
Stamps: Baroque Motifs, Best Yet
Velcro dot to fasten
Black ribbon I found in my box

Snowy Decorations

I have cased this card by Genesis that I found on the splitcoast website.  I've changed it around a bit and used different colours.  Please let me know what you think.....

Lots of masking and stampamijgging, but it was fun to create.  Will definitely be doing this one again.  Next time I might try heat embossing the decorations.

What I've used:
Card: Pacific point, Whisper White
Stamps: Delightful Decorations
Ink: Pacific Point
Embossing: White - for greeting
Bling: Dazzling Diamonds and Rhinestones

Red Embossing Powder - Yippee!!!!!!!!

Today I had to have a puncture repaired and it was going to take an hour and a half to fix it! "No problem" I said as I looked up an saw that I was near Spotlight, a place I very seldom have the time to fossic in.  It was lovely to be able to explore all the goodies that they have in store at a leisurely pace.  As there is no scrap, stamp or craft shop any where near where I live, this is the closest thing that I get - pity they don't sell stamps (or is it just as well that they don't sell them - can't decide which).  Anyway, I discovered RED embossing powder and ideas started to flood into my head.  Here is the first card that I did in the 15 minutes I had between bringing the groceries home and getting the kids from school.  I'm quite pleased with it and can see many variations being stamped out over the next couple of weeks.  Let me know what you think.

What I've Used........

Card: Whisper White, Real Red
Stamps: Delightful Decorations
Ink: Real Red
Heat Embossing: SU Silver and Zing Rouge (not as good as SU either - doesn't go nice and smooth but I quite like the effect it has.)
Ribbon and cord from Spotlight

Mr Boy's Teachers Birthday

Mr Boy came home from school today to inform me that it was his teachers birthday and could he please make her a card.  To cut a long story short - here is the card, the post-it note pad and the bag-a-lope that "I" made for her. The new dvd was obviously much more interesting than  stamping!

What I've Used

Card: Kraft, Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White
Stamps: In The Spotlight
Ink: Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Soft Suede, Summer Sun
Ribbon: Old Olive

Christmas is Coming........

It occurred to me this morning that Christmas is just around the corner so I have decided I'd better get organised and start my Christmas cards.

Here is the first one.  I'm not convinced that I like it, but I figure that it'll take me a week or so to come up with some decent ideas now that I have started.

I love the delightful decorations stamp set and am sure that it will be used a lot over the next few weeks.  I also want to try making some trees - that should be interesting!

What I used:
Card: Real Red, Baja Breeze, Whisper White
DSP: Ski Slope
Ribbon: Real Read, silver thread
Stamps: Best Yet, Delightful Decorations
Ink: Real Red
Punches: Large Oval, Scallop Oval, Ornament
Bling: Stick-on Rhinestones

The Big Boys Birthday

The babies wanted to make their Dad a special card for his birthday with his favourite car on it.  I was lucky enough to find this picture that is a perfect colour match for the SU Pacific Point card.  Of course Dad is still wondering when he's actually going to get the car!  I especially like the wording on the front - Wonderful and Favourite.  The babies insisted on putting both sentiments on the card even though the actually only have one father.  I think they did a good job of it.

Card is A5 size.
Card: Pacific Point, Whisper White
Stamps: Wonderful Favourites, Be Happy
Inks: Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango, Baja Breeze
